Koticharge charging station was installed as a pilot project in the Sähkömiehentie 4 parking lot. Participating in the development of new technologies and services while testing out a new charging method allows for spot market pricing used in the charging of electric vehicles.

KotiCharge is an electric vehicle charging company operating in A Grid, specializing in innovative charging solutions for electric cars. Our technology allows for 11 kW of charging power to be provided through car heating poles without the need for extensive electrical system reforms. Pilot project offers Aalto University parking permit holders a spot market pricing based on electric car charging and participation in the development of new innovative charging technology.
What is the goal of the project? How is it going? How long does it last?
The main objective of the pilot project was to confirm the functionality of the charging system from KotiCharge. Before conducting the installation, KotiCharge did an inspection of the installation area carefully to make sure the safety and electric system was in good condition. We performed detailed functional verifications to ensure the cutting-edge charging solution’s security, core technological performance, and efficient load management. The duration of the pilot is one year.
How to charge your car at our KotiCharge public charger?
The KotiCharge public charging station that was installed at the Aalto Works parking lot at Sähkömiehentie 4 has been a success. Owners of parking permits from Aalto University were offered the unique chance to take part in this pilot project, which provided them with a market-based pricing mechanism for charging electric vehicles.
To use the public charger you have to download KotiCharge mobile app in GooglePlay or AppStore,choose the location and press the START button.The price for charging is very affordable just starting from 9 cent/kWh. You can find more detailed information about charging by scanning the QR code on the public charger.
