At KotiCharge, we believe that fairness is essential — especially when it comes to electricity costs in housing communities. That’s why our Powerpayment feature ensures that those who charge during peak demand hours contribute fairly to the overall cost, while encouraging energy-efficient behavior across the community.

 

KotiCharge is the only operator that guarantees a fair share of powerpayment among electric vehicle users and the whole housing community. 

How It Works:

1. Fair Cost Splitting

Users who charge their vehicles during expensive peak hours will pay slightly more than those who charge at night or during off-peak times. This encourages smart charging behavior and makes sure that everyone pays their fair share.

 2. Limits Charging Load During Peak Hours

To prevent high electricity demand, we can set a power limit for EV charging during peak hours. For example, between 09:00–21:00, the overall charging power is capped. This doesn’t interfere with load management – your building stays energy-efficient and protected from overloads.

3. Helen Users Get a Heads-Up

If you’re a Helen electricity customer, we’ve added an extra feature for you:

• You’ll receive a warning notification before starting charging during peak-hour powerpayment hours, allowing you to block charging entirely and avoid extra costs.
